Who We Are

I grew up in the Los Angeles area and was surrounded with music and art from an early age.

My dad introduced me to guitar and I began writing songs around age fourteen. By the end of High School I had also found a passion for graphic design. I specifically loved where these two worlds of music and art collided.

To make a long story short, after initially going to design school, then working at a couple of small indie labels as a designer, touring with a band called Kutless (Tooth & Nail Records) for about eight years, moving to Nashville for almost five years, and signing a publishing deal with Capitol CMG Publishing (Nashville), I have now ended up in the Pacific Northwest with my wife and two-year-old son. I decided to come off the road in the summer of 2014 in order to pursue my family, songwriting and my design business more fully.

Born out of my involvement in the music industry over the last ten years and my passion of the synthesis between visual and audio arts, Equal Seven now exists as my creative headquarters.
