Hello friends!

I hope this letter finds you all well. I am currently typing this little note in my kitchen office at my home here in Portland, OR. My wife and I are currently in the process of renovating our guest room in wait of our upcoming guest, our soon to be born son! He is due early October and we are beyond excited about this new adventure in our life. I would LOVE prayers for our family as we begin this new stage of life.

Speaking of new stages of life... I primarily wanted to sit down and write this letter to all of you, friends, fans, and family, in order to update you on where I am at these days. As many of you may or may not already know, I recently resigned from my duties with the band Kutless. For about 8 years I have been on the road with these guys and I promise you that the decision to leave was not without much thought prayer and quite frankly, a fight! My time with Kutless will forever be some of the most amazing memories and years that I will cherish the rest of my life. I got to see the world, and not only see it, but stand with my brothers and watch as God used us and our music to impact the world for HIS kingdom.

I wanted to write this note in order to give you all the clear picture of my departure and what I am busy with now that I am no onger touring with Kutless. The decision to leave the band began with God stirring in me close to a year ago just as He had been stirring in Jon-Micah and James and the Kutless camp as He began to reveal visions for our individual lives and the ministry and future of Kutless. As this vision for the band was more and more clear (which is a powerful vision I might add) it also became increasingly, yet confusingly, more clear that what God was sitrring and speaking to me was not perfectly lining up with where the band was desiring to go. To make a long story short, Kutless desired to impact lives in new ways and on a new level and I loved that! However, as many of us know, God always has a plan, but it often looks different than we might imagine or expect based on our current circumstances and desires.

As the prayers continued and the discussions with family increased, it was finally clear to me that God was calling me into the unknown. Just as we see throughout the Old Testament as God called Moses to step into the threatening Red Sea, and His people to step into the raging currents of the Jordan, my God was calling me out to meet him on the water.

It's hard to leave something you are comfortable in. It's even harder to leave something you love and believe in. However, the voice of God was leading me and my family out and I knew it was time to step. I have glimpses of what the future will hold, more songwriting, possibly touring with other artists, doing more worship on a "solo" platform, working alongside the worship community at my church here in Portland, maybe ALL of these things, or none of them! All I know is that God has called me here and I have peace like never before. He is worthy of my trust because I am unworthy of His love. I am SO glad to be able to depart on good terms and with all relationships in tact with the guys in Kutless, and PLEASE pray for their ministry as God continues to reveal awesome plans for their future.

As for now, I have been so honored to be a a part of the songwriting staff at Capitol CMG Publishing in Nashville, TN and will be continuing to write songs for other artists primarily in the CCM Market. I have also jumped back into the graphic design world and am now operating my own startup design co. called Equal Seven Creative. I have been doing a lot of layouts for artists lately including the one and only Kutless, The Museum, & David Dunn. A Couple other projects I am involved with are designing and helping continue development of artist relations for the apparel company called LETGOdwork based out of Orange County, CA as well as Branding and helping launch an organization called theEScollective also based out of Orange County, CA.

God has given me so many amazing friends and relationships in the creative and music world and I am so stoked to have these projects to be pouring into. I also plan to release some new music of SOME kind ASAP so I will keep you all up to date as things progress.

Thank you ALL for being such amazing friends throughout the last 8 years that I've been with Kutless. I can't tell you how important you are to me. I would love your prayers for me and my family as we meet Jesus on the water in this exciting new season.

God bless you all, and stay in touch on TWITTER and INSTAGRAM and the project links below!
